General H. Norman Schwarzkopf, Commander of the Persian Gulf/Iraq War of 1991, has passed away at the age of 78.
During his leadership, not only did he show a love for the United States and a care of those who served under him, but he wanted to take every opportunity possible to right what he saw as the wrongs of military and political leadership in relation to Vietnam. This was clearly done in the Persian Gulf War, learning deeply about the enemy, keeping causalities low and swiftly defeating the Iraqi Republican guard; hitting them hard from the air before the land troops came in. Schwarzkopf was a strong personality, but also had the ability to explain and articulate a military plan to Americans; as he did in those many press conferences during America's first "television war."
America needs leadership like the kind that Norman Schwarzkopf offered and for that, along with his many achievements, he will be greatly missed by the United States. The Right Solutions would like to offer condolences to his family, as well as give a great big thanks for everything he has done to keeping Americans safe at home.
