"Stretch" to Dems: Skip Charlotte
This is the time of year for National Political Conventions: fun parties, networking, brushes with fame and exposure. Every four years, members of both parties wait for baited breath for these four days. Well, in a surprising move, the House Minority Leader, Nancy "Stretch" Pelosi, is telling Democrats to skip going to their Convention in Charlotte!

The election season continues to be unpredictable, but there are a few things I'm sure about. First, Obama picks up no state that McCain won in 2008. Second, Romney wins and takes back Florida. And now, I predict Mitt Romney will win North Carolina in November!

Congressional Pep Talks in the Tarheel State
"The 'Right' Solutions" is back from hiatus (and ended up being a day longer, due to a cancelled flight). I spent the past four days in Charlotte, North Carolina for the Young Republican National Federation's Summer Conference; 1 1/2 months before the DNC comes to the Queen City.
