Bibi Wins

Good news out of Israel - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been re-elected and will begin a third term; becoming the longest serving Prime Minister in Israeli history!

Being a Parliamentary system, Israelis citizens vote in a different fashion than do Americans. Whereas Americans vote for a President, Israelis vote for a party in the Knesset, the Israeli Parliament, and which ever party wins the majority (there are more than two), earns the right to send their leader to become Prime Minister. As he is the leader of the Likud Party and they won the majority, eventually to form a coalition with political parties of similar ideologies, Netanyahu will again serve.

For years, I have greatly respected Benjamin Netanyahu and am thrilled to see him, along with his party, win re-election. He brings a fortitude and resolve that is far too seldom seen in world leaders, and for Israel, a nation surrounded by enemies and facing great danger every day, he is the right leader for the Jewish State. I wish him all the best in his next term and also hope that he accepts the invitation to speak at CPAC in two months, as his amazing rhetorical abilities will galvanize Conservatives in the United States, as they continue the fight against a leftward lurching government.
