Three days ago, we remembered the Attacks of September 11th, and eleven years ago today, the day of remembrance, mourning and prayer took place.
President George W. Bush presided over a memorial service at the Washington National Cathedral and met with the families of those killed, as well as those injured at the Pentagon. What George W. Bush, on this day, will be most remembered for, are the events in New York City.
In addition to meeting with the families of those killed in the World Trade Center that day, President Bush took a trip to "Ground Zero," the site of the World Trade Center. Standing among first responders and aside fireman Bob Beckwith, the president said the following:
Those words gave hope to the first responders sifting through the debris and searching for their brothers and sisters in arms killed by these barbarians, while inspiring Americans nationwide. Strong, resolute and determined, "The 'Right' Solutions" will continue to hold up and honor George W. Bush as a model leader who never showed indecision and galvanized Americans in a time of tragedy and despair.
