On Tuesday, Mitt Romney gave a stellar speech to the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Reno before he travels abroad to the Olympics in London, as well as to Poland and Israel.
Building on his campaign advances in the past week, Mitt Romney eviscerates Obama's on foreign policy, military issues and national security. The speech isn't in its entirety, but it's divided into Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3. At the same time, in a Reagan-esque fashion, Romney endorses American Exceptionalism!
It was very smart for him to address this issue, considering this election, to date, has centered on economics. Mitt Romney must not miss an opportunity to articulate to Americans how this president's leadership has failed. Truth is that foreign policy/military/national security is equally important, if not more important. Just because Barack Obama is the incumbent president and Commander-in-Chief doesn't give him the advantage on foreign policy/military/national security issues and it's good to see Mitt Romney, in front of a friendly crowd who will likely support Romney by larger numbers, addressing this very important issue.
When I hear more speeches like this, I feel much better about Mitt Romney's chances in November, and hope to see the "MittMentum" continue!
