Spiking the Football: One Year Later

It has been one year since the capture and killing of Usama Bin Laden and in this election year, we are seeing Obama re-live the great feat of SEAL Team Six, while rewriting history.

He and his allies tried it a year ago and immediately stopped because it made Americans, sick. I guess they have short memories because they are at it again. On May 1, a web ad questioning whether Mitt Romney would have made the same decision, basing its argument on taking words of Romney out of context, began circulating around the Internet. Not only have those on the right criticized it, but so have those on the left.

First of all, it's extreme stupidity to bring Bill Clinton aboard to talk about Bin Laden, as if we look back at history, his record isn't so great there, even with his attempts to re-write history. Second, the add takes credit away from SEAL Team Six, as they were the ones out there in Pakistan, under fire, risking their lives to kill this barbarian, while the one who gave the orders was in the relative safety of the White House Situation Room. Rightly so, Navy SEALs are speaking out against Obama taking political advantage of UBL's death while discounting their sacrifice. It gives a message of being ungrateful and an action that is fully lacking in character.
And the sad fact is that Obama's "Spiking the Football" one year later is nothing but a lie and a diversion. It's a lie because when you examine Obama's own words, he doesn't believe half the stuff he has been saying this past week; whether what he thinks about the War on Terror, Club Gitmo or interrogation methods. Just has he has done with the War on Women, the War on Hispanics and the War on African-Americans, he's using this lie to divert Americans from his disgusting management of the economy, which to this day is still struggling.

I am so tired of the lies, I am so tired of the phoniness and I hope that Americans continue to educate themselves and Republicans like Romney use this pattern of lies and low character as a teachable moment that will lead Americans to vote this president out, once and for all!
