Primary Day in New Jersey

Tonight, I had the pleasure of attending the Primary Night Party of New Jersey State Senator Joe Kyrillos, the picture above is from tonight and in no surprise,Kyrillos won the Republican Nomination to face Senator Robert Menendez.

Here are some of Kyrillos's comments from the evening (apologies for the horrible lighting in there)

I have known the Senator for over ten years and in that time, he's been a fighter for New Jersey's taxpayers and strong leader in the Senate, while never forgetting about his Jersey Shore roots. He will prove to be a formidable candidate to Menendez, especially if he follows the Chris Christie 2009 formula for success. "The 'Right' Solutions" will closely be watching this election and I predict Menendez will take a muddy path to Election Day....Joe is more than prepared and ready!

Examining other primary results, Anna Little has won her primary to represent the GOP in the 6th Congressional District; setting up a rematch with Congressman Frank Pallone in which she fared pretty well, even though it was not a win, and in a very nasty Democrat Battle in the new 9th Congressional District, Congressman Bill Pascrell has soundly defeated Congressman Steve Rothman.

Sadly, New Jersey looks to be a blue state in the presidential election, but it's safe to say that Joe Kyrillos can make this Senate race interesting...we'll be watching!
