At first glance, one might think that Mary Matlin has finally got James Carville thinking in a Conservative fashion, but peel it back, Carville is still Mr. Democrat, but he is now being hit like a Mack truck with the possibility that Barack Obama may lose in November.
Carville is showing intellectual honesty, as he has before with Obama, by stating the President doesn't get it on the economy. He believes the president's economic message is tone deaf and gives steam to the Republican critique that the Obama is out of touch on this issue, especially with unemployment so high, including among Americans in their prime working age.
Between Dana Milbank, Lanny Davis, Bill Clinton, and other Democrats, they are screaming at the top of their lungs for their party's leader to change his ways if he wants to win, as they, like Carville, are coming to the reality that Obama may lose. Barack Obama is in his own little world and is a true ideologue, therefore, will not trianguate or change his message in the fashion that Clinton did to win re-election. Instead, he and some of his supporters will continue to blame others, while playing "divide and conquer," as he's attempted to do, using the lowest common denominator in society.
This is great news for Mitt Romney and the Republicans!
I'm happy to see Mitt Rommey has been doing a good job on the campaign trail, responding to attacks, staying on message on the economy, while allowing his supporters to focus on other issues, while not throwing them under the bus. There is more of a chance that this may go well in November, not only for Mitt Romney, but for the United States of America.
